This past week was one of new arrivals of both inventory and employees here at Turtle Love Co. To begin with, we got a new batch of vintage engagement rings, which is always exciting for us! After carefully naming them, Alicia wrote up an excellent blog post about how she names the rings and included some previews of our new rings, which she named after female fine artists throughout history.
We will be photographing these new antique rings at the local Portland, Maine store Little Ghost Vintage. We also recently did a photo shoot at another Portland business, The Green Hand book store, with some other old engagement rings from our collection. Part of Turtle Love Co.’s philosophy is to actively participate in the local community so we love the chance to collaborate with other local businesses!
The other exciting event this week is the arrival of Emily, our new Smile Specialist and Product Pro. Although she technically joins our staff on Monday she went out to lunch with us on Thursday to celebrate at a local diner. We’ve made a resolution to take more pictures to share with you when we have outings like this, but we only managed to take a handful of photos at lunch, including:

and this group picture with Emily, who somehow knew to wear a black shirt like the rest of us coincidentally did. She’ll fit in just fine here!
That’s all for now from the TLC team. Have you all been enjoying the Olympic games? I know we’ve already had one marriage proposal before the games even began, but I’m secretly hoping for another before they end on the 12th!
